Matthew 25 is Trinity’s outreach committee. Please come next Sunday, October 27, at 9:00am to learn more and share your ideas! All are invited to suggest outreach projects in which Trinity members could be involved or that the church could fund. If you have questions, speak to Daryl Mark or Richard Thomas for more information.
This fall, to help deepen both our faith and our connection with each other, members of the Trinity Parish Vestry are hosting in their homes a series of dinners. "Walk In Love" dinners will be held on the following dates:
Saturday, October 26, from 1:00-3:00 at Martha's home. (Childcare is an option for the 26th at Martha’s home. Please let Martha or Fr. Miller know if you need childcare.)
Monday, November 4, from 6:30-8:00, at the Rectory (where Fr. Miller lives).
Saturday, November 9, from 1:00-3:00, at Paul's & Juan's home.
At each of these dinners, in addition to food and fellowship, there will be an opportunity to share stories in response to an open-ended question such as "Why Trinity?" or "Who has been important to you in your faith journey?" or "Tell of a time when you knew that God was with you."
No need to bring anything save yourself and a willingness to listen and perhaps to share. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board outside the coffee-hour room.
When the walk becomes difficult, how do you still move forward? Who are the people on your journey of love?
I came from Mexico in 1999, leaving behind all of my family and friends. My husband got a job at the dairy next door to The Bishop’s Ranch in Healdsburg California, so I walked over and asked for work. I had to repeat myself many times before they would consider me, because I didn’t speak English, but I told the director that if they would give me a job I would learn English. Now I have three associates degrees, and I teach English, too. This is a way of walking in love for me. The hospitality we practice at The Bishop’s Ranch is another way of walking in love. I am happy with my work if people feel the love of God here; in the kindness of the community and the natural environment.
I have three sons and a daughter born in the United States. The youngest, Juan Pablo, was born with spina bifida and lived for six years, ten months and twenty-one days.To walk in love is not dependent on whether the journey is easy or hard. When my child was in the hospital, it was always such an experience of love to visit him. He was my angel on earth. Sometimes I feel sadness because I miss him, but then I think about how much love he gave, and how it was like the love of God; like a fountain of love that would never stop flowing.
My husband, Angel, walks in love with me: This year will be our twenty-fifth anniversary. We’ve gone through a lot together on our walk in love. After we lost Juan Pablo, Angel had an accident and became disabled. He had to be airlifted to the hospital and lost the use of his left arm. Recently, he had a twelve-hour surgery to transplant muscle tissue. But we just don’t give up. I just keep praying to God. There is always a way to walk together no matter how hard things are. God fills me with love every day. This is what the journey of love is about.

We will celebrate All Saints on Sunday, November 3. All Saints is the feast in which the Church remembers the one communion and fellowship of saints, both past and present, and it is traditional to remember in the order of service that day loved ones who have died. If there are deceased whom you would like to be remembered in the order of service, please send their names to the parish office by Wednesday, October 30.
The Parish of the Good Shepherd in Waban, in conjunction with the parishes of the Charles River Deanery, is hosting an Election Day Choral Holy Eucharist “For the Nation” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 207) on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:00pm. All are welcome to join for a non-partisan time of prayer. Singers are welcome to participate with Good Shepherd's and other Deanery choirs, including Joshua, Trinity's own Music Director. The call time to rehearse the music is 6:00pm. The Parish of the Good Shepherd is located at 1692 Beacon St in Newton.
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, The National Cathedral in Washington will be live-streaming several services during the course of the day. More information and links to the live-streamed liturgies can be found here (cathedral.org).

Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.
