This week's lesson: Faces of Easter
This Sunday, March 10, clocks will turn ahead by one hour for daylight saving time at 2:00am. Please adjust your clocks accordingly and as needed!
This evening, Trinity Parish's Anti-Racism Reading Group will discuss My Life, My Love, My Legacy, by Coretta Scott King. Please contact Fr. Miller for a Zoom link.
Baptismal Preparation Sessions will take place after the liturgy each Sunday in Lent, from approximately 11:30–12:40, and will include time for scripture reflection, an ‘open floor’ for candidates’ questions, and time for the team to pray for the candidates.
We are reminded throughout Scripture that God has formed an everlasting covenant with us. This covenant is an invitation to enter into relationship with God and to act together in harmony with one another and all the earth. As we launch the 2024 Bishops’ Annual Appeal, we invite you to join us in deepening covenants we have formed as the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.
Our diocesan mission strategy is a covenant to become ever more faithful and generous disciples of Jesus. With your support, the Bishops’ Annual Appeal promotes this goal through lifelong Christian formation, youth and young adult ministries, racial justice and creation care initiatives, as well as multicultural and immigration outreach.
The appeal newsletter and donation envelope are available at church or by contacting the parish office. Please place your gift in the Offering on “Ingathering Sunday,” March 10th. You may also mail it back directly to the diocesan office. Together, we are able to accomplish that which we cannot do alone!
If you would like to make a memorial contribution toward the purchase of Trinity’s Easter lilies, please pick up a memorial envelope in the Narthex or Dunbar Room. For names to be included in the Easter Day order of service, envelopes must be received in the office by Monday, March 25.
The parish vestry voted in 2022 to go "mask friendly"; that is, unless otherwise indicated, masks are optional at Trinity Parish. Please note that, pending further guidance from the Diocese and local infection rates, the church may in future return to requiring face coverings for in-person gatherings.
Located at 11 Homer Street in Newton Centre on the lower level of Trinity Church, the Pantry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank. It is open most Tuesdays from 2:30–5:30pm and the third Saturday of each month from 11:30am–2pm.
New households are asked to fill out the Online Pantry Registration Form or print and fill out this paper form. If you live in Newton and wish to be added to the CSFP delivery list, send an E-mail with your name, phone number, city, and family size. If you live in Boston, click here to find resources available for those in need of food.
Please remember in your prayers: the Episcopal parishes of Newton, our clergy and people; the Centre Street Food Pantry, its clients and staff; Joseph, our President; Maura, our Governor; and Ruthanne, our Mayor.
